ADASA delegation visits LIPOR

On August 1st, at the request of the Water and Waste Services Regulatory Authority (ERSAR), we received at LIPOR a delegation from the Federal District Water, Energy and Sanitation Regulatory Agency (ADASA), ERSAR's counterpart for the Brasília region, Brazil.

The program of the visit included an initial meeting, where the work carried out by LIPOR was presented and the challenges and good practices in waste regulation were discussed.

In addition to the meeting, the ADASA delegation had the opportunity to visit two of LIPOR's operational units: the Sorting Plant (CT) and the Composting Plant (CVO). The CT plays a crucial role in sorting and forwarding recyclable waste, while the CVO is responsible for transforming organic waste into high-quality organic fertilizer "Nutrimais", contributing to the circular economy and reducing the environmental footprint.

During the visit, the ADASA delegation showed great interest in the technologies and methodologies applied by LIPOR, highlighting the importance of sharing knowledge and experiences between the two regions.

The visit culminated in the express wish to sign a cooperation protocol and create an exchange program between the two entities. This protocol will aim to exchange experiences, develop joint projects and train technicians, with the aim of improving the regulation and management of waste management services in both regions.
