Pestana Pousada Flores fights food waste!

The Pestana Pousada Porto Hotel, on Rua das Flores, has joined LIPOR’s Dose Certa (Right Amount) methodology!

According to data from the PERDA project (Strategic Plan for Reducing Food Waste), around 1 million tons of food are wasted every year in Portugal. This waste represents an annual economic loss of approximately 3 billion euros.

To fight these figures and take another step on the road to sustainability, the Pestana Pousada Flores Hotel has teamed up with LIPOR to implement the Dose Certa methodology! This methodology assesses the food waste generated, optimizes practices and trains teams, thus promoting sustainable eating.

Dose Certa comprises several stages, culminating in the award of the "No to Food Waste!" distinction.
