LIPOR subscribes the Soil Promotion Manifesto, shared by ECN - European Compost Network

ECN - European Compost Network, a network of which LIPOR is a member, shared a Manifesto for Soil Promotion, prepared by DG Agriculture and Rural Development, of the European Commission.

LIPOR, within the scope of its activities and in fulfilling its Mission, develops projects, initiatives and products in the areas of soil promotion and protection, fundamental topics of this document, so the signing of this Manifesto was a natural step.

The Manifesto is based on eight specific objectives: (1) reduce desertification, (2) conserve soil organic carbon reserves, (3) stop soil sealing and increase the reuse of urban land, (4) reduce pollution soil and improve soil restoration, (5) prevent erosion, (6) improve soil structure to increase soil biodiversity, (7) reduce the EU's global soil footprint and (8) improve soil literacy in society.
