BP visits the Native Forest Maintenance Program on the banks of the Leça River

Interventions within the scope of LIPOR's Metro Quadrado program have made it possible to requalify several areas, creating forests of high ecological value and ensuring ideal conditions to stimulate biodiversity. The support of our partners is essential for this work.

Therefore, it was with great pleasure that we welcomed BP and were able to show and verify the development of the project. Nothing better than note BP's own words about this meeting:

"It was with pleasure that we met with LIPOR and Maiambiente teams to learn about the progress of the Native Forest Maintenance Program on the banks of the Leça River, which BP has supported since 2022.

We had the opportunity to observe the good work that the team has carried out on the ground and which has contributed to the ecological rehabilitation of the site, requalifying an area of 3 hectares of riparian forest in Moreira, in the Municipality of Maia.

As part of our purpose of reimagining energy for people and the planet, and integrated into our sustainability model, we aim to promote biodiversity in the geographies where we operate, namely through actions that have a positive impact on the rehabilitation, maintenance and improvement of this biodiversity.”
