LIPOR Promotes Extension of the CineEco International Environmental Film Festival

LIPOR and its Associated Municipalities will promote another CineEco Extension on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of June. Considered one of the oldest and the only exclusive environmental film festival in Portugal, the Extension of the International Environmental Film Festival will take place at the António Macedo Auditorium, in Valongo.

This extension is the result of the Collaboration Protocol, established between Lipor and the Municipality of Seia. CineEco has been held since 1995, on the initiative of the municipality of Seia, and presents the most recent national and international productions on environmental themes.

In addition to the presentation of the Environment Grand Prize | Seia City Council, the film "Paathkatha”, some of the most acclaimed films by the public in its 29th Edition of CineEco in Seia, will be presented.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, it will be also possible to view the most impactful short films from the Seia Festival, in two afternoon sessions, on Friday and Saturday. All sessions are free and open to the general public.

In this CineEco LIPOR Extension there will also be a space dedicated to children, with the presentation of the animated film "O Segredo dos Perlimps” and the promotion of creative environmental awareness workshops with environmental activities and games, promoted both by LIPOR and by the Municipality of Valongo.
