More than one ton of books will feed the Bookcrossing network

Between April 23rd and May 17th, in celebration of International Book Day, LIPOR launched a book collection campaign, with the community being invited to deliver their books to several previously defined locations, namely using our network of partners, which proved to be fundamental to the success of the campaign.

The objective of the campaign was to promote the Circular Economy, collecting books no longer wanted by their owners and which will, soon, feed a bookcrossing network, promoted by LIPOR and its Associated Municipalities. The community's receptivity resulted in the collection of more than 1 ton of various books, valuing an asset and avoiding waste.

This campaign sought not only to encourage the reuse and sharing of resources, but also to reinforce LIPOR's commitment to sustainability and the promotion of reading habits in communities.
