The rabbits are on the loose in Parque Aventura LIPOR

LIPOR's Adventure Park & Ecological Trail has received many visits from a long-eared friend. These are wild rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus), a species that appears on the LIPOR Species Map, a work to identify the fauna and flora in our facilities.

The persistence of areas of tall, uncut flowering meadows has allowed space for biodiversity to be maintained and the visit of this small mammal is proof of the success of this more sustainable option.

The wild rabbit is a species that plays an important role in the ecosystems in which it is located. The color of its back is variable, from grayish brown to yellowish or black. The belly and underside of the tail are white. They are sociable and live in groups. Their teeth never stop growing, although they are not classified as rodents.
