BIOBLITZ | Discover the nature of Serralves Park with LIPOR and its Associated Municipalities April 15 to 21

The Serralves Foundation, LIPOR and its Associated Municipalities promote, from the April 15 to the 21, the 10th edition of BioBlitz, a reference pedagogical and scientific event, within the scope of education and awareness for the Environment, Biodiversity and Sustainability aimed at the educational community and the public, with emphasis on children and families.

It is an event that encourages everyone to build a contemporary narrative for sustainability, based on the global guiding principles of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, with emphasis on the Sustainable Development Goal 15 - "Protect Life on Earth”.

The 2024 edition of BioBlitz will take place, in an entirely in-person format, for the educational community (on the week of April 15 through 19) and for families and the public (the weekend of April 20 and 21).

Since 2016, LIPOR has been associated with BioBlitz as the main Sponsor, which has allowed around 34,000 students and teachers from our schools to enjoy this event, an experience that otherwise they might not have access to. This year will be no different and, as in previous years, we will promote the participation of schools in the 8 Associated Municipalities, by providing bus transportation to and from Serralves, which will allow around 9,000 students to experience this event.

The program

LIPOR and its 8 Associated Municipalities will be present in this initiative in a unique area, the Clareira das Bétulas, through the promotion of Environmental activities, which will cover themes ranging from the promotion of Biodiversity to the Incentive for Recycling.
