World Book Day is celebrated by LIPOR with a book collection campaign aimed at waste prevention

To mark World Book Day, celebrated on April 23rd, LIPOR and its Associated Municipalities will mobilize the community with a book collection campaign that will also end up having an impact on waste prevention.

The initiative is part of a project that will create an inter-municipal book sharing network with the goal of promoting reading and contributing to the reuse of these books and consequent waste prevention.

All books are welcome in this campaign, apart from school manuals.

Therefore, between April 23rd and 30th, you can bring your books to the following delivery points:

  • Quinta do Passal, in Gondomar
  • Quinta da Gruta, in Maia
  • União das Freguesias de Matosinhos e Leça da Palmeira, in Matosinhos
  • União das Freguesias de Perafita, Lavra e Santa Cruz do Bispo, in Matosinhos
  • Soundwich Restaurant, in Porto
  • LIPOR Academy, in Valongo
  • Junta de Freguesia de Ermesinde, in Valongo
  • Formiga Drop-off Site, in Valongo

Don't forget, bring the books you no longer read or need, join this movement and let's put culture in circulation.
