Casa do Corim: 3473 visitors in just over a year of opening its doors

The revitalization of Casa do Corim, which is being promoted by LIPOR within the scope of an Institutional partnership with the Municipality of Maia, has been a success since the Casa opened its doors in October 2022.

In 2023 alone, there were 124 days of open doors for free enjoyment, 72 initiatives carried out, including 10 Open Days, Gatherings, CineEco Sessions and 6 exhibitions. Among the 24 partnerships established, Let's Swap stands out, which has already promoted 3 swap markets at Casa do Corim, with 282 participants who reused 990 pieces of clothing and accessories and 201 books, thus avoiding the production of 276.53 kg of waste.

For the year 2024, the program includes the intensification of the already usual activities, combining them with other initiatives, such as circuits of guided tours of the Casa and its gardens, Exhibitions and 10 Open Days with workshops, gatherings, markets, environmental cinema and exchange markets.

By taking on the dynamism of Casa do Corim, LIPOR and its Associated Municipalities assumed the purpose of leaving a solid legacy for future generations, with the promotion of practices in accordance with the precepts of Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility, putting this space to the fruition of the Community, promoting Sustainability, Environmental Protection, entrepreneurship, citizen training and free access to culture.
