Double recognition: LIPOR Communication Campaigns win the M&P Communication Awards

Two communication campaigns promoted by LIPOR and its Associated Municipalities were awarded the M&P Communication Awards, awarded by the newspaper Meios & Publicidade. The themes focused on these campaigns were food waste and the reuse of waste.

With the motto "Save the Environment and Your Wallet”, the communication campaign on food waste aimed to raise awareness among citizens about the environmental, economic and social impact of waste. By materializing what people can achieve with the money saved by avoiding food waste, the campaign led them to reflect on needs and dreams that can be met by changing behavior.

Developed by the Mustard agency, the campaign ran from November 28, 2022 to March 14, 2023 and reached more than 500 thousand people on social networks, namely Facebook and Instagram. It also featured offline media, such as muppies, press advertisements and posters in restaurants. In addition to citizens, the campaign was aimed at potential new adherents of the Dose Certa and Embrulha projects. Two LIPOR initiatives to reduce food waste.

The campaign on waste reuse, developed by the Winício agency and supported by the Environmental Fund, raised awareness and mobilized citizens and local entities to take an active role in reusing clothing, small appliances and furniture. "Reuse Changes Everything” was the creative concept chosen to convey in a direct and impactful way the attitude of changing not only the fate of used goods, but also the world, making it more sustainable.

Launched in August 2023, in the first month alone, the campaign affectionately named "Muda Tudo” reached more than 100 users on Instagram and generated more than 400 user interactions, resulting in a significant increase in visits and links followed.

Over its ten years of existence, completed in 2023, the M&P Communication Awards have recognized the best communication and public relations projects carried out by communication consultants and companies. Both LIPOR campaigns were recognized with the bronze distinction. The "Save the Environment and Wallet” campaign, in the Sustainability category and "Muda Tudo”, in the Associations, Public Sector and Third Sector category.

The Award ceremony took place on February 28th, in Lisbon.
