LIPOR obtains certification for its Extensive Granulometry Artificial Aggregate – AAGE 32

LIPOR obtained the Conformity Certification of Factory Production Control of its Artificial Aggregate of Extensive Granulometry (AAGE 32), within the scope of the EN 13242:2002+A1:2007 standard.

This material, coming from slag from the incineration of Urban Waste at the Lipor Energy Recovery Plant, is suitable for the unbound base and sub-base layers of roadways, in accordance with the CE Marking and declared values.

The use of AAGE 32 promotes the circular economy as it allows the valorization of waste as a product for construction, replacing natural origin large-grained aggregates (ABGE) and which requires the processing of rock extracted from quarries, with the impacts that this type of extractive industry has on the natural resources and ecosystems surrounding the units, from the beginning until the end of the operation.

LIPOR has redefined its innovation strategy in 2017, and has the mission to unlock all the potential of urban waste. With an innovation team, fully dedicated to product development, it was possible to develop a set of technologies for valuing waste resulting from incineration, as well as producing new products.
