Matosinhos Beach Recycling

The summer season brings to mind family gatherings, refreshing swims, and beachside lunches, where everything tastes different!

Summer is also a time of increased waste production, and therefore, the Matosinhos Municipality, in partnership with Sociedade Ponto Verde and LIPOR, will carry out an awareness campaign at Matosinhos Beach on August 31st, from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.

This initiative aims to alert beachgoers to the high production of waste that occurs on beaches, raising awareness about proper waste management, ensuring its recycling, and preventing it from being discarded on the sand.

More than 80% of today's marine litter originates on land - it stems from our behaviors! Don’t be part of this statistic; collaborate, become an awareness agent, and join us in this campaign!
